  • Managed all phases of concrete, steel erection, structural steel framing, welding, wood carpentry, drywall, sandblasting, painting, environmental remediation, lead abatement and HAZMAT projects (budgets of up to $1,000,700.00). Also estimated and managed all projects and consistently exceeded margin goals and client expectations throughout sixteen year tenure. Projects were located in Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. I personally passed the Contractor examinations for each State license.

 PRODUCTION FINISHING CORP (Graham, WA) — General Manager, 1978 to 1996

  • Managed all phases of concrete, steel erection, structural steel framing, welding, wood carpentry, drywall, sandblasting, painting, environmental remediation, lead abatement and HAZMAT projects (budgets of up to $1,600,000.00).  HL HARTSO CONSTRUCTION (Tacoma, WA) — Site Supervisor / Lead Worker, 1970 to 1978

  • Provided site supervision and foreman work for residential and multi-unit remodels.

  • State Route #2 Highway Bridge, Everett, WA.

Repaired broken and cracked concrete, sandblasted and waterproofed one mile long portion of the bridge, completed project substantially under budget.

  • Medical Arts Building, Tacoma, WA.

17 story building remodel, erected structural steel framing, welded all exterior walls, laid out and built partition walls, installed drywall at walls and ceilings, painted all wall surfaces and millwork, and installed commercial wall coverings.

  • I-90 Bridge Renovation, Seattle, WA.

The bridge is 1.6 mile across Lake Washington which we performed concrete wall sacking and resurfacing, sandblasting of concrete and steel surfaces, special coatings, pontoon ID and pontoon cell ID, Environmental abatement of hazardous fifty year old grease coating  from massive bolted pontoon connections.

Erected structural steel framing, welded all exterior walls, laid out and built partition walls and installed drywall at walls and ceilings.

  • Remodeled 7each storm damaged houses, Kauai, HI.

I started working summers in the construction industry and became a full time employee at Garrison Construction Company, in 1972. In 1995 I began working as s site work consultant for JR Roberts, a large business who was involved in a DOD mentor/protégé with Chattin Industries, Inc., a Native American business in the 8a program from Northern Montana. While representing JR Roberts on projects, I helped mentor Chattin on various site work projects in the federal construction arena. In 1998 I moved to KIN Enterprises, Inc., an 8a Native American business from New Mexico and helped them enter into a mentor/protégé arrangement with JR Roberts through the SBA program that lasted several years. I am currently working with SD Deacon, a large business in Washington, in pursuing a mentor/protégé arrangement with American Construction and Coating, LLC, of Puyallup, Washington. I am also currently working with American Construction and Coating, LLC to help expand their federal contracting program.
